Carolina Academy drops highest score of season against Florence Christian

Carolina Academy scored the most points they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 53-46 to the Florence Christian Eagles. The match was a 23-23 toss-up at halftime, but the Bobcats couldn't quite close it out.

Florence Christian was led to victory by Taylor Greene and Riley Minton. Greene went 6 for 12 on his way to 18 points and six steals, while Minton posted 14 points and seven steals. Minton is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last six games he's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayden Parker, who went 7 of 12 on his way to 14 points.

This is the second loss in a row for Carolina Academy and nudges their season record down to 1-4. As for Florence Christian, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-3.

Carolina Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 54-39 win against Lake View on the 13th. As for Florence Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 70-69 victory against Orangeburg Prep on the 13th.
