Mrs. Willenia McKenzie Floyd, 59, wife of Russell “Rusty” Lamar Floyd, passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at MUSC Health Florence Medical Center.

Mrs. Floyd was born on January 19, 1965, in Florence County, daughter of the late Delbert L. McKenzie, Sr. and Willemina Horne McKenzie. She formerly worked for her father’s car dealership, McKenzie Auto Sales and was a homemaker.

Surviving are her husband of 41 years, Russell “Rusty” Lamar Floyd of Scranton; son, Brandon Levon Floyd of Scranton; granddaughter, Chloe Ann Floyd; mother-in-law, Vidamae Floyd of Rock Hill; brother/sister-in law, Howard Nexsen and Gail Nexsen; aunts, Clarise (Joe) Stephens and Janie (Rex) Cantey; other extended family.

Mrs. Floyd was preceded in death by her son, Jason Lamar Floyd; brother, Delbert “Bubba” McKenzie, Jr.

Funeral services will be, 3:00 PM, Sunday, January 12, 2025, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel.

The family will receive friends, immediately following the service at the funeral home.

Burial will be private.
