Mr. Lanair Welch, 68, husband of Donna Floyd Welch, passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at his home in Turbeville, surrounded by his family.

Mr. Welch was born on May 5, 1956, in Clarendon County, son of the late Mike “Coot” Welch and Mary Feagin Welch.  He was a member of Floyd Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church and retired from Carolina Furniture Works after 44 years, where he was maintenance supervisor.

Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Donna Floyd Welch of Turbeville; children, Amanda Welch (Brian) Odom, Daniel Lanair (Brittney) Welch, Brent Ladell Welch, all of Turbeville; grandchildren, Kyler Phillip Odom, Jalynn Elaine Odom, Trenton Daniel Welch, Connor Lanair Welch, Adalynn Marie Welch and Asher Ladell Welch; brothers, Archie Welch, Ray (Marjorie) Welch, both of Turbeville and Elbert (Rheba) Welch of Barrineau.

Mr. Welch was preceded in death by his siblings, Sidney Welch, Sally Marie Welch Miles, Henry Welch, Ruthie Nell Welch Coker, Mary Lee Welch Floyd, Thomas Welch and Martin Welch; sister-in-law, Mae Welch; father & mother-in-law, Delbert & Shelby Floyd.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Friday,  January 17, 2025, at Floyd Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Funeral services will be, 4:00 PM, Friday, January 17, 2025, at Floyd Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church with burial to follow at Pine Dale Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Floyd Chapel Young Harvesters, 1701 New Zion Road, Lake City, SC 29560.
