Mr. David M. Parker, 87, husband of the late Isaree Chandler Parker, passed away Saturday, January 11, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family.
Mr. Parker was born on August 6, 1937, in Clarendon County, son of the late Woodrow W. Parker and Lutsie P. Parker. He was a member of Olanta Pentecostal Holiness Church and retired as a supervisor with Santee Print Works after 30 plus years of service. Mr. Parker greatly enjoyed being outdoors and working in his yard.
Surviving are his son, Richard (Nell) Parker; grandchildren, Renee (Starlin) Welch, Chad (Trudy) Parker, Hope Huggins (Chandler Windham), Kelly (Brad) Mixon, Amy Chockley, Lucas Chockley and Gerald “Pee Wee” Chockley; great grandchildren, Parker McGee, Carter Mixon, Hailey Huggins, Stephanie Rauch, Amber (Ken) McKenzie, Spencer (Laiken) Welch, Chance (Kinnedie) Langston, Matthew Parker, Hailey Parker, Starr Welch, Tyler Chockley, Lizzie Chockley, Jordan Chockley and Jessica Chockley; great-great grandchildren, Charlie, Kash, Landon, Briar, Wylder, Lily, Lizzie, Jordan, Adam and Kaylee Pack; siblings, Sammy Parker, Dianne Parker and Mellie Nettles.
Mr. Parker was preceded in death by his daughter, Cathy Parker Knight and his son William David Parker; siblings, Gertrude Bryant, Cecil Parker, Pearline Tisdale and Jennie Parker.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at Olanta Pentecostal Holiness Church and at other times at Mr. David’s home, 1073 Parker Road, Lake City.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, January 14 , 2025, at Olanta Pentecostal Holiness Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
The family would like extend a special “Thank You” to Pearlie Mae “Monk” Williams and Connie Mixon for their love and care, they gave to Mr. David.
